Key Points
- Item Bank and Assessment: The item bank for the SBA will be uploaded on the Item Bank System (IBS) on September 13, 2024. The assessment has been designed in accordance with the syllabus prescribed in the Academic Calendar.
- Question Papers: Question papers will be provided bilingually (English and Urdu) for all subjects except English, Urdu, Tarjuma-tul-Quran-ul-majeed, and Ethics. Schools can choose to generate subject papers in either English or Urdu.
- Paper Generation: Schools will generate question papers by logging into the IBS with their QR code. The system-generated paper for each subject (Grade 3 to 8) will be one page with a QR code.
- Marking: Marking will be done using the keys and rubrics provided along with the papers through the IBS.
- Assessment for Grade 1 & 2: The assessment for Grade 1 & 2 will be oral for all subjects with five questions of 10 marks each. One written question for each subject of English and Urdu will be assessed to evaluate writing skills.
- Assessment of Skills: The assessment of listening, speaking, and reading skills in English and Urdu will be conducted on the same day as the subject paper.
- Optional Subjects: Papers for optional subjects will be developed and conducted by the schools themselves on the PEC pattern.
- Parent Teacher Meeting (PTM): Schools will arrange a PTM on October 4, 2024, to share student report cards with parents.
